Join Masterclass artist Amir Zaki for a one-day workshop both in the studio and in the field. After a group critique of student work, Zaki will lead students out into the field to explore how he uses the Gigapan camera mount and software to create his strikingly detailed images. Participants should plan to bring both previous work and a camera of their own for the outing.
Amir Zaki has exhibited widely and his work is in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art, New Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, UCLA Hammer Museum, and the Henry Art Gallery. He is represented by James Harris Gallery, Seattle.
Masterclasses often run beyond the scheduled time. Participants are encouraged to plan accordingly if they wish to take full advantage of time spent with the artist.
