DESCRIPTION
Join Mia McNeal for this one-day workshop to explore concepts in portrait photography both in the studio and in the field. From available light to continuous lights, speedlights, gels, and lighting modifiers, this will be an exploration into a multitude of techniques. The first portion of the session will take place in the studio at PCNW as Mia demonstrates working with a model using a variety of lighting from the essentials to more creative techniques to create a mood and tell a story. Later in the session, we will work both in the Daylight Studio and outdoors near PCNW, as Mia demonstrates techniques for working in available light conditions. Finally, we will look at how post production can be a powerful tool to enhance your portraits and make them stand out through editing.
