Learning to see and work with light isn't as obvious as it seems. Having a guide to help you learn awareness of the nuances of light – direction, height, shadow intensity, quality (hardness or softness of the light), color of light (and the juggling thereof) – can make a world of difference in understanding the depth of creative possibilities. Join respected portrait and studio photographer Rosanne Olson for a two-hour overview presentation and discussion that will lead you into the exciting possibilities of light. Looking at works by both master painters and photographers alike, the workshop will explore the psychological and emotional impact resulting from choices of catch lights, light patterns, and use of fill. Whether you're a photographer, painter, videographer, or illustrator, this presentation-format workshop will provide inspiration and insight on how to see light.
