Over this four-part series, participants will be introduced to contemporary issues facing women in photography today. With guest speakers from two of the leading global organizations on women in photography, seminars, case studies, lectures, and panel discussions, this workshop will celebrate the inspiring work of women working with photography. We will take a closer look at some of the leading artists who are impacting the art world with their thought-provoking work, as well as challenge antiquated ideals of photography. We will also explore the implications of the patriarchy on women photographers, and critically analyze photographic histories from a global perspective.
