The pinhole camera is one of the most fundamental ways to create images on paper, yet it can produce beautiful results. The ethereal way in which a pinhole camera records light lies in its unpredictable nature. The process involves letting go of expectations, and a willingness to experiment. Join faculty Leah Freed to explore the possibilities through constructing your own pinhole camera and developing the images in the PCNW darkroom.
Requirements
- Please bring a shoe box, oatmeal container, or any hand-held object that can be easily punctured and made into a pinhole camera.
- A background in darkroom-based analog photography is preferred, but not required.
- Must be registered for Chase The Light 2024 to sign-up and participate.
