Here’s an opportunity to learn the tools and techniques needed to make color prints in the analog darkroom. This hands-on two-day workshop will introduce students to the entire workflow for making color prints from classic C-41 color negative films such as Kodak Portra and Fujicolor Pro. Color analog equipment and materials will be covered in detail including how to use a color head enlarger, automated print processor, required chemistry, recommended paper and basic color correcting technique needed for making finished analog C-prints. This workshop would be great for those wishing to acquire basic printing knowledge needed for using rental color darkrooms, setting up a home analog color darkroom or simply interested in how color prints are made in the analog darkroom. All paper and chemistry will be provided and students may bring their own 35mm, medium format or 4x5 color negatives to print. Note this workshop will be focused on learning to print images from color negative films. Printing color transparencies (slide film) will not be covered.
